Privacy policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.

Last updated 9 September 2026. This policy describes what happens to information you give this website. It is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every eventuality, and it is reviewed whenever the site starts collecting something new.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect the fields you fill in: your name, your email address, optionally your site address, and your message. We also record the page you submitted from, and a one-way hash of your IP address used solely to rate-limit the form against automated abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, and to quote for work if you ask us to. That is the only purpose. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Where it goes

Submissions are stored in this site’s own database and emailed to us. If we have connected a mailing list or a webhook to the form, that is disclosed at the point of collection and requires your explicit opt-in.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. Ask us to delete yours and we will, without asking why.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores your light or dark mode preference in your browser, which never leaves your device and is not readable by us.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy. Write to us and we will act on it. If you are in the UK, EU or EEA these are rights under the GDPR; we apply the same process to everyone regardless of where you are.
